Have a 01 Ford Expedition with a 5.4L engine, the wire on the passenger side coil doesn't seem to send a good signal, is there another locations where I can find a good tach connection? I am installing a Clifford RSX 3.5 and during remote start she dies after 10 seconds. Any thoughts on this??????
Thannks in advance for your comments or suggestions.

Tachometer
Notes: Tach wire: On the 4.6L go to any of the 8 ignition coils and use the wire that is not RED / green. On the 5.4L it is a lt. GREEN / WHITE at the coil on the passenger side of the motor between the fuel injectors.

As far as engine dies, are you using any bypass module?

Yes I'm using the 555F by pass, the remote start is working but it only runs for about 10 seconds then dies. If the by pass was not recognized it would die immediatley. I did connect the grn/wht wire but I figuire there could be another alternate location to connect to.

Try going to a fuel injector. For some reason on the Fords the DEI remote starts dont like the coil but they will always work off of afuel injector wire.

Go to a Fuel injector wire.
It worked flawlessly on my navigator.

Sometimes I've been able to find a small WHITE/ pink (or maybe pink/white?) coming into the interior, in the big harness coming through the firewall, above the parking brake.
I haven't been able to find it on all years/styles of Expeditions. Not sure if it's me, or some of them don't have it.
