I just installed a ford 2w7z-19g364-ba remote start system. The locks and security features all work but i cant get the remote start to work. the vehicle will start with the key. I think it may the polarity setting but for some reason when i try to set the program options it wont cycle through them. Hoping somebody has a idea. Thanks

please tell me you used a bypass on the key ...if not, insert the key in the ignition and then try your remote starter

Does the remote start not work at all, or does it do a crank no start? Which polarity setting are you talking about?

Yes i used the ford securilock interface kit. The vehicle will not try to crank it does nothing at all. But all the other functions work except i can not get the vehicle to enter the option banks. The polarity i am talking about is the one you can change in the option banks for the key in sense, unlock switch sense and the door ajar.

the door must be open and the domelight on. check the fuses and their polarity.

Is there a neutral safety wire that might need to be grounded in order for it to initiate? Most units have this type of wire on them

No this system doesnt wire into the nuetral safety switch since the system goes through the ignition switch and then through the nuetral safety on the way to the starter. Yes i was trying with the door open and the dome light comes on.

The default way to remote start the vehicle is to hit the LOCK button and then the start button quickly. So try hitting lock and then the start button and see if it attempts to start.
