the sub's rms is 400 watts and the amps 400 watts also. so you think one of the 12's will hit harder than two 10's?

I would recommend selling the audio junk and get something proper for that sized box, I would recommend a single 12" TC-2000 and you could probably shrink that box size a tad. That sub alone would out slam 4 audio junk subs, but you would have to hurry before they sell out. http://www.tcsounds.com/products.htm

yes...a single sub in correct air space will always sound better due to the fact its using that space efficently...two crammed into to small of  aspace would try to work twice as hard and still not sound good. just do a single 12...btw seeing as u have 400/400 sub/amp itll sound great cuz thats considered a matched pair...if u read the picking a sub sticky on this site itll say that its about the rms not max =) i didnt no about this site when i did mine...shame on me...but now that ive been reading this site for however long it is...ive read pretty much every how to article...youd be amazed wut you can learn froums...if you want more on fiberglassing try fiberglassforums.com sorry dont know how to hyperlink in here...and i cant remember the html code to do it....hope ive helped

hey i went back and redid my box and it now has 1.945 cf of airspace. do you guy's think that it's enough to run two in the same airspace? or would i still be better off running one?

No, if you have this much airspace, usea pair of the Pioneer shallow mount 10" or 12" subs and reap the rewards that they will offer. All things being equal, two subs have more output than one.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Then only use one, and build the box the correct volume for that one woofer... They won't sound good enough as it is, don't further destroy what little "sound quality" they MIGHT have by putting them in a wrong box.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Please just take the advice of everybody here...use the correct size box. Ever heard the phrase 10 pounds of poop in a five pound bag? Replace the five pound bag with your 1.945 box and replace the ten pounds of poop with your audiobling...Did i mention please use the correct size box? Ultimatly I will NEVER be in your car, so do what you want, but please either take the one sub advice or buy a bigger car, build a bigger box, and put your 10 pounds of poop into a ten pound box. At least five people have told you the same thing... NOBODY has said to go ahead and cram them into that tiny box... I was never good at math, but I think 100% of the advice givers are against the "fat man in a little coat" box design.
