viper 3000 door lock polarity?

Viper 3000 document 1041 references different polarity for the lock output. Both + and - are used depending on what drawing you are looking at, see diagram B and last page "negative door lock outputs".
Is this an error? Any possibility of changing polarity? I did not see any jumpers in the installation guide or 1041 document.
