Would it be worth it to get one or is there something better that would prevent voltage dropage?

Yes an alternator, bigger batteries will only sotre the power for maybe slightly longer.   In the long run, you will need an alternaotr if your having serious voltage issues.    there is only one thing that makes the power in your car, and that would be the alt

You'll find  most people on this forum don't care for any type of cap, myself included. At best they are a patch for a bigger problem. If you have a 240 amp alternator and are having problems, what amps are you using?

With your alt upgrade, did you do the Big3 as well? I've heard HO alt manufacturers won't warantee the alt if this isn't done.

Well if you already have an upgraded alt than an extra battery won't hurt
