Hello, I am trying to wire 4 separate led strands into my car and each has 12 leds meaning 48 total. The dome light fades by going from 12 volts to ground and while on ground, the lights are on, therefore ground is switched and the 12v is constant. My question is how can I add in these leds to come on whenever the domelight does? A diagram would be much appreciated..
Thanks in advance

Can you get to the contacts that the bulb touches and solder wires to there?

hey,
There are two other threads similar to what you wanna do, both have diagrams,
see if these help you out at all

(replace the CCFL with your led strips)

The hardiest part about these installs seems to be finding the wire or best location to tap into the dome wires.
Good luck, hope this helped.
