How do you select the front aux in port on the Avic D3 as the source to listen to a stiletto plugged into it with an aux cable?

Aux 1 or aux 2? You could always download the manual.
It was already broken, but I made sure it could never be fixed again.

I dont know whether it is aux1 or aux2 it is the one on the front.  I looked through the manual and it says there is an aux on the front but i couldnt figure out how to switch to that source.

you will probably have to turn it on in the options menu. I know sony's require you to do this, i wouldnt doubt if pioneer was the same. Usually you access this menu when the unit is turned off.
