I have tried to find the answer to this question for myself but have been unable to do so. Can anyone tell me if the 1700G interface module comes fully programmed or do I have to buy some sort of updater cable to do the programming myself. I hav a 2005 Silverado, a 2007 Sierra and a 2005 Sierra that I am doing. The other question I have will this module plug directly into an autostart remote starter and an Ungo SR6000?

youhave to program the bypass yourself, and the bypass does not directly plug into aything you have to wire it to what you are going to use it for.

Is there a better module that will plug directly into these remote starters that has the same features as the 1700G?.

Do you recommend the 1700G or the GM-SL2 interface modules for the 05 Chev Silverado, the 05 and 07 GMC Sierras?

there is no bypass that i know of that will pulg in directly because you have to hook up the data wire, fact disarm, lcks, ext. i have not used the GM-SL2 but i have used a few 1700g with no problems at all.

Do they plug in using the RS232 data plug? Some interfaces that I have seen have this plug and as well some starters have the plug. I was hoping the 1700G has this plug as well, because doesn't this plug replace the other input wires except for ignition and the data output wire?
