i am installing two led stips where ur feet go in my 96 protege to a toggle switch. everything was working jus fine, then i disconnected the switch from the wires to cut them down and make em a little bit shorter and to cut the hole where the switch will go. i have the power wire going to my horn fuse i nthe fuse box. the problem is, whenever i plug the fuse bac into the fusebox it makes a little spark and burns off the wire touching it. and it also looks like it burns some of the plastic part of the fuse. it might b because i didnt disconnect all of the wires from the switch when i plugged the fuse back in...

i am an idiot

You have somehow grounded the power wire or you have a bad LED unit.
