Can I reuse a PLXR on a different vehicle? I have a 99 malibu and thought i would reuse a PLXR I pulled from my Caddilac. Will it work? Also, what is the deal with the Malibu passlock? Why doesn't the PLDATA work? I installed a starter on a Malibu back in 2002 and i don't remember how I bypassed the Passlock 2. All I remember is that I told the owner to do something like put the key in and turn the key to start (when the engine was running after remote starting, but with and anti-grind nstalled) before pressing the brake to prevent the the security light from coming on.
Any experiences with the Malibu that you could share would be helpful.
Thanks

Do you need to tap into the keysense wire? It say to ONLY hook up the keysense wire if the wire goes to ground when the key is in and the door is shut. The wire does go to ground when the key is in but it does so whether the door is open or closed.
Thanks
