My '93 Dodge Intrepid V6 3.3L

I mean my dad told me it would cause problems within my car but he couldnt explain exactly what problems...

I like to drive fast, but I want my car to be down low about 4-6 inches from the ground.

Can sumbody tell me just exactly what could possibly go wrong....thanx...

When they engineer a car they take into effect how high the car will ride, tire size, shock travel and a bunch of other things that will effect how the car or truck in your case handles, by changing ride height you will throw off the 'tuning' of the suspension, and unless an engineer is involved in lowering, you can have some very serious issues on how your truck handles..I hate to say it but your Dad may be correct this time.

if they make a good aftermarket coil over setup ( not the slip over stock strut type ) and swaybars and aftermarket adjustable camber setup, and have it tuned properly, then you can have a good handleing vehicle with no worries. but if you end up going with drop springs you will blow your struts really quickly and the handleing will suffer alot after that. but never cut the springs as this will bounce you all over hell and will never handle good at all.

Yea dropping a car really requires the entire suspension to be modded to do it properly.  New shocks/struts, springs, then you need a new alignment, probably a non-stock one.  This is difficult stuff to do correctly... at least $1000.. closer to $1500 really.  This money could be spent on amps and subs.

I knew some cats when I was younger, they would straight cut springs or just hook up new ones without any other work.. this produced some vehicles that handled impressively, but were literally painful to ride in and went through tires every 6 months in some really bizzarre tread-wear patterns.
