Hi. I have a 1991 mitsubishi 3000gt SL. I dont know anything about alarms. I had it installed by a shop in Queens NY. Everything was fine. Then one day The LCD remote doesnt respond to the car. None of the buttons work in the remote except for the unlock button if I press it hard and hold it for a long timed.  I thought it was a signal problem, but it was not. I used my spare alarm key and the all the buttons work properly, the lock and unlock, the asterisk and the Aux work for the spare but not the LCD remote. I can remote start the car using the spare alarm key but I can't using the LCD remote key. If I remote start the car using my spare, the LCD remote shows the car is on. I dont know what is the problem. Is it the LCD remote problem? Can I buy just the remote and will it work? how much is the repair cost of this? Can anybody help me pls I appreciate it.

It sounds like you have a bad remote if everything works with your spare. does the alarm comunicate with the remote still, meaning if you trigger the shock sensor does the remote still indicate that your car has been tampered with? if so then you most definatly have a remote problem. The clifford remotes were going for about 80 bucks or so, I am not sure what one for yours will run. Most of the time when remote buttons stop working there is not really a good permanant fix.

Search for a 477T, once you have it you can grab the installation manual from the downloads section of this site. Remote programming is covered starting on page 35.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

We seem to be having a similar problem with the Viper remotes over here, have you tried contacting DEI customer service?
