The crime gaurd 850i3 has a remote start option included with it.  Is there a way to install this alarm on a manual transmition vehicle?  Can I bypass the remote start option?

Hi,
The 850i3 is not designed with everything in place to protect you from yourself in manual transmission scenarios. That is unless your manual tranny happens to have a neutral safety switch (very few do). Other than that, we have set them up with remote start preactivation enabled. This means that you have to press the valet switch everytime you get out of the car if you want to be able to remote start it before you get in it next time. All this really does is act as a reminder so that if you remember to press the valet switch, hopefully that will also remind you to park the car in neutral. Obviously, that is not a sure fire way of protecting you from yourself but that's really all you can do with the 850i3. Hope this helps.

If I do not want the remote start enabled, can I leave the green starter output disconnected?  Will the alarm still be functional?
