can anyone email me a copy of this?  I'm installing a remote starter for a friend for christmas in his 07 Dodge Nitro and need this to finish up.  I can't get anywhere on the http://www.directechs.com/Default.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fLinks website, because everytime i click on the link from previous posts to get to the pdf, it sends me there.   If anyone can send this to me, please email it to jamesdburak@hotmail.com

Thank you so much in advance.

Jim

No need to email it, it is (and has been since 9/28/06) in the downloads section: here
If the Nitro has an immobilizer I would recommend the PKUCH2X, it will do that MUX wire as well as Sentry bypass.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Has anyone had issues with the induction loop antennas from the immobilization bypass systems?

I can get the remote starter working with a key in the on position, but not with the key just in the ignition or the acc position.
Any ideas?   I'm pretty sure that the bypass isn't working, and the keysense line too.  Does anyone know how to hook up the keysense line?
Thanks

Jim

Your RS should not work with the key in the on position, this leads me to believe there is something wrong with your R values or your relays in your implementation of the 1084 document.   Pull out your meter and make sure your R values are correct at the correct times.
The PURPLE / brown also works as keysense in the US version of the Nitro. It's ground through a 8.5Kohm resistor.

For the keysense, do i literally just put in the 8.5k resistor to ground?  or do i need a relay? and what would the trigger be?  The only question i have with that would be that the car would always see a "key in ignition" disabling the keyfob to lock and unlock the doors.

why would the rs not work with the key in the start position?  that guarantees the keysense is good and the rf keyfob signal is there.  Because of that, i'm guessing the only possible problems are the PURPLE / brown - trigger  starter wire, the keysense, and the immobilizer bypass.
Pulling the circuitry out of the key and trying to start the car with just the key minus the RF signal, I can get the car to start for ~3 or 4 seconds, but then the immobilizer circuitry kills it, which has got to mean that the immobilizer bypass isn't working.  I really don't trust that loop antenna.
So I know the keysense isn't working.  I also know the immobilizer isn't working because of using the key minus the circuitry.  And i need to implement the 1084 circuitry, but need to know how to include the keysense.

thanks

And per the 1084 document, do I really need to cut the PURPLE / brown wire?  If so, how does this signal get through with just starting the car with the key?

What's all this about cutting the PURPLE / brown wire? I haven't even looked at the document yet, but the Nitro is easy......no cutting, just a few easy connections.
1. What kind of remote start are you installing?
2. What kind of bypass are you using?
3. Does your Nitro have a factory alarm?

Basic Remote Car Starter

24921  with the 556uw immobilizer bypass
no alarm.

any and all help would be greatly appreciated.  I've got all the safety stuff done (brake pedal, hood pin, etc.)

the yellow wire going to the yellow grey to the solenoid,
the blue wire going to the pink/white
i have no idea about the green and white wires coming out of the remote starter; that's what the 1084 is supposed to be for
the bypass is getting powered correctly; we've got the key in the module but can't get the output of the loop antenna to trigger the rf around the key cylinder
let me know what you think.

thanks

does anyone know on the 1084 document what they're talking about regarding the orange and purple - triggers?  I don't have either of these wires and the signals coming from the remote starter are + 12 triggers.

Also, has anyone figured out the loop antenna issue?  And do I just ground the keysense line to ground via an 8.5k resistor?  If that's the case, then it would always see a "key in ignition," right? Which i do not want.

thanks

jim
