Can somone who has knowledge or done this tell me how and what I need to install auto door lock/unlock on my 2005 Ford Escape.  It has factory keyless entry only no alarm.

I am assuming I may need2 reelays?  any diagram on how to wire these would be appreciated.  I understand the pink white to be the lock and the violet/white to be the unlock.

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean auto lock/unlock? Are you putting an aftermarket system on there? If so, tell us the model of the system.

No,  no aftermarket system.

For instance, my wifes Expedition automatically locks the doors at say 10 MPH and unlocks in park.  The Escape does not do this but I understand that by using a relay or 2, you can add this auto lock unlock feature.  They both have the FordKeyless entry.

Thanks

Check out this diagram here.
Note that this will lock and unlock when the ignition is turned on or off respectively.
Doing auto lock with speed is impossible without a fairly complicated, custom solid state circuit; however if you knew which wires(assuming they exist) showed that the transmission was in park you could design a relay setup to lock when shifted out of park and unlock when shifted back into it. Chiltons, Haynes, AlldataDIY might have such info.

Thanks, I just used the speed thing as an example, the in and out of park will work.

Will look at thanks!

OK I need to ask a real dumb question here:

These ARE new relays I add correct, they are not existing ones?

Thanks

Correct...you'll need new relays. Also, read here; the pink/white does both lock and unlock. Unlock is straight ground, lock is ground through 1000 ohms.

I found this on a se4arch here, it looks like what I need but I do not know what the line is at the bottom of the diagram where the 2 blue wires connect:

I think you should ignore that diagram and focus on the ones I linked to above (about creating auto lock/unlock).
You would have to wire a 1000 ohm resistor inline on the wire marked "(-) output to lock circuit"; also you'll need to possibly change some of the wiring to 85 and 86 to various relays once you find out the polarity of the "park position" wire.
