I just bought the remote starter the other day from Best Buy and should have just paid them to do the install but I decided to try it for my own experience. I've been installing turbo timers, stereo and other electronics into cars but this is something new to me. There's a lot of wires! Not sure where to start. I'll be starting the project tomorrow but need some inputs before I start. Has anyone done this on a 95 to 97 corolla yet? I would really appreciate for some help. Thanks

On the 97 Corolla, the wire diagram said that the Ignition wire is suppose to be the Black wire. I don't see that wire. Also, the Pink/White wire for the Ignition 2, can that just be tap in with the Pink Ignition output wire? Also which wire is the Accessory wire in the steering column? I hope this makes sense to all of you. I just want to find some answer for one connector at a time....Thanks

it should have two ignition wires the primary one is black with a yellow stripe. the second one is black with an orange stripe if there is no solid black one. accessory is blue with a red stripe. your two ingition outputs from your remote starter need to connect to their respective two ignition wires in the ignition harness.

Ckeeler, another question. My Corolla does not have factory alarm but the H1 connector says to tap the light GREEN/ black wire to factory alarm disarm and GREEN / WHITE to factory armed. Do I need to use that two wires?

those 2 wires wont be used on your install. i dont know of any corolla that has a factory security system anyway. but if it did your car would disarm on unlock anyway. thats how some toyotas disarm.

By the way, I am doing the install for this car not because I'm lazy but it's my wife's car. She's pregnant and I don't want her to go out side in the cold to start the car in the winter.... Thank you very much for your help!

how much did you pay for the remote start? all the alarms/remote starts that my best buy sells includes installation.
