Hi, new here hope someone can lend some knowledge.  Attempting to get the remote start on my new work van, 2008 Express.  I have the a ready remote model 24926 that I pulled from my last van, 97 Ford, which worked great.  Now I have it installed in the Chevy with a Bypasskit model PKUCG2X immobilizer bypass.  Van starts via remote but will only run 20 seconds or so, then dies.  The r/s tries to re start it but no results.  A little confused usally this stuff comes a little easier for me...  Thanks in advance

1. Temporarily unplug or otherwise disconnect/disable bypass module.
2. Insert key most of the way into the ignition (but not far enough that it triggers the key-in-ignition chime).
3. Try the remote start? Does it work correctly now?
If it works right, then you have a bypass problem.
If it still doesn't work right, something else is wrong with either your installation or the remote starter.

Yeah tried it, that gives me ign. power, acc. power, followed by nothing.  Also tried all the way in, gives me service detterant message, same with thing with acc. or on postions.  I don't know if I need resistance with this module, or if I'm just not prodramming RF correctly.  It seems to me if van starts and runs for a little time the remote start portion must be correct, but this whole passkey III thing is really throwing me.

Ok today I got a little advice locally.  The starter was programmed for voltage sense already, but for some reason wasn't seeing the voltage increase when running.  So I turned off engine monitoring mode on starter.  Now the van runs and remote start works as it should for about four minutes, then dies, then ign. and acc. power come on but van doesn't restart until system is turned off and reset.  Any ideas, Ithink I'm getting close. :)

Am I corresponding to myself only?  Tried running it with status output triggering relay for bypass module, thinking the module was over taxing the 400ma output. No that wasn't it. Still will only run between 3 and 4 minutes then check engine stays on.  Pease Help.

I'd suggest running a tach wire...I've had some problems using voltage sense on any late model GMs.

Ok, finally hard time to get back to this disaster.  Ran the tach wire, non-common (not pink, brown, or black) this case it was the green wire with the other three afore mentioned on one of the coil packs on the drivers side of the engine.  Reset the rs to tach sense, followed tach learn instructions, I think (it didn't really seem to respond the way instructions said), and presto...  Same exact thing as in voltage sense.  Now what?  In my, far from expert, opinion it seems like something is missing as far as the van is concerned to keep it running.  I mean I think the rs is "happy" but the van isn't.  Any more ideas?

Key to start and run = normal operation of van

Remote started then key put in ignition and turned on brake pressed to turn off r/s = van continues to run normally

Van started with ign. key then r/s started key turned off and removed = van continues to run for about 4 minutes then dies check engine illuminates and ign. and acc. stay powered same as normal r/s operation

Hope this makes sense?  Thanks again

Anyone have any ideas?  I am hoping to nail this down.  But I don't know what else I can do.  2008 chevy express, r/s cycle, bypass -- posted image.
