I'll track down the fuse in the morning but will that also stop the alarm's siren for that 20 minutes ? Sorry, I'm just not that sure about the steps to take and what  to expect.

Do you know if I will be able to enter valet mode as I described in my original post...maybe I should do this before taking out the fuse ?

I'm pretty prepaired to get the whole thing replaced, more concerned about being able to use my car in the immediate future or just being able to get it to a garage easily (not that anyone's pushed for time this close to Xmas or anything)

What do you mean by "or simply turn the alarm off via the valet switch", is there something else I can do other than just temporarily enter valet mode until I turn the ignition off again ? That's the only option the manual seems to give me but it sounds like I may have other options.

Can I actually disable the whole thing completely/permanently myself using the valet switch or any other way ?

If the answer to that is no, and your other suggestions don't work (i.e. the alarm is fit for the bin) , are my only other options to either get someone out to it or to reconnect battery and enter valet mode every time I need to start the car ?

PS - yeah, I love the car too (when I can start it) and just hating the fact they're popular and mine is currently a sitting duck on my dodgy street.

Howie, scratch that last message...managed to re-program 1 of the remotes. Only 1 button will actually do anything though but as it's the main button I can actually leave the car protected, and I guess I could actually drive it as well !

Still confused why I can't get any of the other buttons or the other remote to work (the one that was actually working most recently) but I think the manual is confusing me.

To do the one that worked I selected the "Add new remote to channel 1" function via the valet switch and pressed the main button on the remote, chirped to confirm it worked. I then selected the "Add new remote to channel 2" function and pressed the main button on the other remote, nothing.

Should I be selecting the "Add new remote to channel 1" again and pressing the main button on the remote not currently working to get that sorted ? The whole channel/button terminoligy in the manual is confusing me and now I've actually got one working I definitely don't want to get something else wrong !

I'm in Northampton and the only close-ish Clifford dealers I could find were GAP...and also found a lot of bad reviews on them. Do you know of any others ?

I'm guessing disconnecting it probably isn't a job I can do myself is it, even now I'm back in control ?
