Hello,

I amTrying to install a Autopage RS-900LCD in a 2003 Accord 4-Door and have come across a couple problems.  The first is does this vehicle require any type of bypass module? If so can anyone tell me wich one I will need? The second is the factory alarm disarm wire located in the driver's door. After searching around the forums and trying a few test I have come to the conclusion that this car does not have a factory installed alarm. Will it still be necessary to connect the factory alarm disarm wire in the drivers door?  Also, the diagrams I've found point out the door trigger as coming out of a "5 pin green plug behind the fusebox."  I have pulled the fuse box off to get to this plug and there aren't any plugs behind the fusebox, also I couldn't find a green 5 pin plug above, below, or to either side of the fusebox.  If anyone help me out with any of this it would be very much appreciated.    Thanks again,

Gerard143 and I are working on the same car. I was unaware that he had made a post also.

2003 honda accord.  here is my question.  i'm wiring up an autopage rs 900 remote starter/alarm.

basically i need a unit for transponder bypass so the vehicle will start when it cranks with the remote start unit which it currently doesnt.
it would be connected thru the data link connection to the autopage unit.

but heres my question.... since most modules emulate the keyless entry data, features

such as ‘trunk release’, ‘power liftgate’, lock/unlock', and ‘power sliding
doors’ will not work once the vehicle is remote started thru the module.
if you want this functionality you have to hardwire them as you normally would with an alarm/remote start unit like you would in an installation where a module was never utilized.

are there any modules that will hook up thru the datalink connector on autopage alarms that will allow features such as lock/unlock to work over this data connection when the car is running instead of them only working when its not running.

No. My guess is the BCM decides the action, when requested on the bus or other input. If the ignition is on, it will deny the request, because of an un-safe situation.

My suggestion would be the PKH34. It's a transponder bypass module only. However, I don't know if the communication protocols are the same, between the PKH34 and the AutoPage modules. Someone else maybe be able to answer that.

As far as a data module not working with the ignition on, I'll have to disagree with loneranger and say that it shouldn't be an issue. This vehicle uses data between the power lock switch in the door and the MICU inside the car, which controls the alarm. The data codes sent are probably of the switch and not of the keyless control module.
I've done previous generation Accords/TLs which also had data-controlled locking, and IIRC they had a dedicated module for the keyless entry which had its own ignition input. In other words, when the remote was pressed with the ignition on, the keyless module received the RF signal but didn't convert to data and transmit. Therefore an aftermarket system (which doesn't care about ignition on) can control the locks via data.

Thanks for the help. I have completed the install. The pkh34 data link is not compatible with the AutoPage RS-900lcd. I had to hard wire all connections.
