I have 2 cars with 5501 remote start units.  I am trying to pair up the remotes to work with both cars, but would like to remove all remotes from the units first.  Is there a way to dump the remotes from the brain without losing other settings like remote run times, etc?

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks for the reply.

Before posting, I did some searching but was unable to find any information.  Nor was I able to locate a copy of the Installation Manual online.  Then after posting my question, I dug a little more, and found that this site has a documentation area.  I did not find the 5501 remote start installation manual, however, I did find the 5901 security/remote start installation manual which was good enough !!

I found the section menu item for clearing remotes and gave it a shot.  Everything worked as expected, and I now have all remotes working with both cars in the Car 1/Car 2 modes.

Thanks,

Tom
