2009 dodge ram canmax400 rs

Ok. So I told a buddy that I was doing this for him before i found out what it consisted of. I've been doing alarm systems for quite a few years but have never attempted one with the data/can system.
I have installed the python remote start with the docked canmax400 as shown in the diagram that came with the xpresskit. When powered up I get a solid red light and have seen 2 different meanings for this. Does anyone know for sure what this means?
I also installed the xkeychgm. Does this program before or after the canmax?
I am getting an error message when trying to flash the canmax400 and not getting any further than this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, the above is for a 2009 Dodge Ram with the wireless ignition node. No factory keyless

did you flash the canmax with the correct firmware??
