I really need someones help on how to install an alarm kit/remote start into my 1996 Rover Tomcat turbo.

This isn't entry level especially getting at the locks. Could you confirm this is a 220 Coupe?
Where are you and what make/model alarm R/S are you installing?
There's no tech data around now but I could probably do most of it from memory.

Hi thank you for your reply .Yea its a 220 coupe and its alarm model is PLC Alarm FM-V3 Two Way Page Remote Engine Start  and i live in New Zealand.

Assuming your vehicle is a manual trannie does this alarm R/S have a "manual transmission reservation mode", also since I've never heard of it does it have a tach sensing wire or does it sense oil pressure?
Could you let me know before we go any further?

Hi there sorry for the late reply i was away overseas.

yes it is manual. i changed the alarm system to a different model '2010 STEEL MATE - REMOTE ENGINE START KIT'.

Yea it has manual mode. im not sure of the tach sensing wire though sorry.

What are your specific problems, it must be 10 years since I worked on one of these.
Tach will be at the back of the rev counter.
Your lock and unlock will be orange and pink (may be other way round) motor wires coming from the alarm/immobiliser box above the fusebox or in centre console.
