I recently got a Malibu with the remote stater already installed. There is no dealership close enough to my house to take the car to for the remote. The remote will not start the car and once I figured out how to get the error code it flashes 6 times. Of course the user guide for the 1100 goes from 5 to 7 and skips 6 so looking at other guides it mentions a safety function isn't set.  The hood pin is rusted and the wire is loose so it's not grounded. I guess it's the input from the brake pedal or the park/neutral input. Since Astro flex don't even respond to owners of the product, does anyone have a copy of the install guide? I found the module and have the wiring diagram but what is causing the code 6?  I guess that a faulty signal is coming from one of the two sensors still connected.  To pay someone to troubleshoot this would be a waste of money since new units start around $170.00 so I'll troubleshoot a little longer since the car is over 9 years old I would guess the warrenty on the remote is up already.

Any help would be great along with a pdf file  LOL

Thanks
