what bypass for 2009 hyundai accent

Hi all, I've used this site many many times always had the info I was looking for. I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent (Canadian model) and I bought an Autostart as-1455 from the Ford shop I work. One thing I don't know what bypass I need to get, one place here has them and wants $79 and requires a key. I know from searching on the net I can get an equal or same product for under $20. My question is will a dei 556 bypass work for my car? If not what other ones will work? Thanks for your time! Chris

Not too many choices for you. 

Option 1.  Get a DEI 556UW "key in the box" universal bypass or similar module available from most bypass manufactures.  You will loose a key.  U.S.cost about $15 plus lost key.

Option 2.  Get the Fortin PATS-Kia1 bypass module.  You won't give up a key but you must go to a place that has the Hyundai Scan Tool for programming.  Cost $40 for bypass and whatever amount the dealer charges...

Option 3.  Go to a iDatalink installer.  He can do the install without loosing a key using the ADS-AL CA bypass module and the KLON process.  The module costs about $100 plus whatever in labor fees.

i was just going to suggest the idatalink ads-alca and klon it. If you can get the idatalink (75 cad, wire it yourself then just have an idatalink installer flash it for you. that works too.

yeah i've decided on the datalink. get it for $68 which is reasonable. But from what I have read in the manual i downloaded, the hyundai accent isn't listed. So I dunno, don't want to purchase an item that won't work. Chris

You can get transponder Hyundai keys on Ebay for 7.50 shipped to your door, get a local locksmith or your nearest Stealership to program it . Buy a 556UW and put it in the box and your done...Mike M2

Don't think the U.S. models have a transponder, only Canadian models.  The $7.50 key on EBay U.S. probably doesn't have the chip.  On EBay CA they go for $25 Can.Soldering is fun!

Ahh see this is why I need a module my car is Canadian model. As I live in Canada :D I can find keys for like $3.00 but got to buy 10 lol

go to your local locksmith, he will be able to sell and order you a key and program it for you too.

youre looking at 20 for a key-in-box and prob 25 for the key.
