So I want to add some type of security to this car.. Ideally remote start would be outstanding - but I'll settle for whats possible with little or no complications.
So here are my questions, I'd really appreciate some feedback - and links would be great.
Short questions:
Is remote start possible, like a Clifford 5902 or 570
If remote start is NOT possible, is aftermarket alarm possible with shock sensor, door triggers, etc.
If only alarm is possible, would it be possible to integrate the alarm with the factory key fob instead of using an aftermarket fob.
Longer detailed questions (same as above):
So if I can only install an alarm, and basically all its going to be is a remote door lock/unlock - flash parking lights, siren, shock sensor - can that be use with the factory key fob - since its part of the key already. Basically what I'd gain would be a real siren, shock sensor and of course LED.
Remote starting the car would be great... I know for a fact there is an RF chip in the key fob, because I replaced the old original shell with a brand new shell from ebay, and when I took apart the original shell to transplant the electronics - I found the RF chip, which is NOT attached to anything btw - it just kinda sits there with pressure from the upper and lower pieces of the shell. Interesting I thought.
At any rate, this is a 2002 Mercedes ML320 - and any and all help would be appreciated. THANKS.
