The rx and tx wires in the lincoln continental don't match what fortin says and the module (key override all) won't program.the wires in the car at the pats module are:
1-brn/wht
2-vio/blue
3-RED / blk
4-tan/orange
fortin says - rx-brn/yell   tx-gray/red

Ignition 1 BROWN / PINK (+) IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS
Ignition 2 GRAY / YELLOW (+) IGN SWITCH HARNESS

costumer said that the traction control light was already on,the obd11 codes are P0500 and U1039,these codes suggest that the ignition switch chime switch is defective, anyone experiance this before?

Did the little metal tab break when you took the shroud off or when you put the bypass ring in

i didn't pull the ignition switch out,I used a key override all without a transponder ring.I didn't notice any little metal tab breaking.I am getting the car back friday afternoon and plan on replacing the chime switch and hope that takes care of the service engine soon light.
