audiovox pro9175ft4 wont unlock 1994 f150

I've installed an Audiovox PRO9175FT4 in my 1994 F150 without factory keyless entry my problem is I can't get the unlock feature to work I installed the relays wired them up just like the diagrams that I found on this site show. The lock feature works and I've tested the unlock relay by hooking it up to the lock signal to the module and it works like that so I tested the unlock wires from the module and found out there not dropping enough voltage I was wondering if I could put a resistor or something in the circuit to make it drop the voltage. Thanks for any help this was my dads truck and I installed the remote start and keyless entry 10 years ago, when I found out Was going to need to add relays to the locks to make them work I left it alone and told him he was going to need extra parts. He has been gone since 2007, I have the truck now and I'm in the process of restocustomising it in his honar

So basically you have confirmed the unlock output is dead by the sound of it. Does the unit have a second unlock(RED / black) wire on it? If that still works you could use it and set the programming for double pulse....Mike M2

Yes the unit has a red and black wire I've tried to hook it up and nothing happens with it also. I haven't tested the output of that wire, I did test the output of the other two wires the red (lock) wire puts out 12 volts until I push the lock button then the voltage drops to 0, when I tested the green wire(unlock) the voltage is 12 volts until I push the unlock button then it drops to 11.6 volts. So if I use the RED / black wire will I need to reprogram the unit?

The RED / black wire shows 0 voltage at rest. When I push the unlock button 2 times the voltage goes up to.2.4 volts.

That unit should also have another harness that plugs in next to the main harness. It's the Auxiliary outputs harness. It has a BLACK/ Blue wire (pulse before start). It's essentially a factory disarm wire that will pulse before it remote starts AND when you hit unlock. Try that wire and see if it triggers the relay to unlock the doors. If it works (given your circumstance), forget about the standard unlock wires and use that one. The main concern doing it that way is the doors will unlock before it remote starts. But your doors will unlock if the other wires aren't working.

I didn't even think about using those wires the wife has the truck today and I work tonight. So its probably going to be a couple of days before I can mess with it again so I'll let you know what the results are.

I just went out and took a look at the module turns out I don't have a 4 pin connector there are two 2 pin female connectors on the module but I don't have the pig tails that go to them. I think when I installed the unit I had them but since this is a truck I didn't think I needed them, that was almost 10 years ago so my memory is not the best.
