'06 is350 avital 5303 and pkall

Hey guys, I'm new here; saw lots of helpful posts so decided to register and ask for help. I'm installing Avital 5303 remote start (car alarm) using PKALL bypass. Most of the installation is fairly straight forward, however I'm a little confused with PKALL's "relay" connections I've circled in the picture below. Do I need to buy a relay for those connections? What do Relay 1a, 1b, 2a, and 2b represent? Also, just to confirm; the only connections to the car that I need are: door lock, unlock, ignition, Rx, Tx, start-stop, brake light and obviously constant power and ground. Is there anything else I'm missing? Thanks a lot for any help guys, I really appreciate it! Igor

Relay 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b just represent the onboard circuit of the pkall.. You do not need relays for those wires, just connect as shown. As far as other connections go, the 5303 is also an alarm so if you wanted the security features you would have to make more connections (ie door triggers, etc..)

Thank you for the reply, that's what I was thinking. It's the wording and the fact that it says 1 relay is required on the top of the diagram is what through me off. I guess the relay is really not required unless you don't have starter (-) out. And I do not really want all the extra features, so thanks for the confirmation. This helps!

One more question. Where it says Start (-) on the remote starter (where it connects to the green wire of PKALL); do they mean (-) wait-to-start input? I know I have to use a wait-to-start option for a push start button installation... if that's not the case, where would wait-to-start connect to? Thanks again!

The Start (-) is the Starter (-) from the R/S (to the Green PKALL). You do not need the "Wait to start" wire, instead program the R/S to diesel mode with a start delay of at least 5 seconds. The relay 1a,1b,2a,2b connections will take care of the push start button by applying voltage to the brake wire before the starter is engaged...

You are welcome, there are a few more connections I hadn't thought of earlier.. Tach: White (ac) @ data link connector, white 16 pin plug, pin 9. Parking lights-: Blue (-) @ headlight switch, white 20 pin plug, pin 18. Hood switch: WHITE/ Blue (-) @ hood switch. Good luck with the installation.

^ Those are not required though, correct? I have put everything together, PKALL flashed 10 times after programming the key. So far, I can unlock and lock the car with the Avital remote; but the car won't start. I looked through the manual about start delay, but I can't seem to find it (it suggests using wait-to-start for diesel engines). Not sure where I can hook it up... Any ideas?

Ok, I think I can program a delay start of 15, 30, or 45 seconds. I'm going to try this...

Not required but they are useful. Try the 15 second delay... Not all diesels will have a wait-to-start output wire so for those the time delay setting is used.. Since yours is not a diesel, the time delay is only for the purpose of the push start.
