04 f150 with viper 5906v will not turn off

I have installed a viper 5906v remote start on a 04 f150 with idatalink alca interface. it is supposed to turn off when you step on the brakes. but my truck will not shut off it says "remote start deactivated" when i step on brakes and it will not even allow me to turn it off with a key. the only wire i cannot figure out is the 24pin connector dark blue (-)200mA status output. where would this connect or what have i done wrong for it to not turn off? Thank you.

Is the 24 pin WHITE/ blue connected to anything? That or your pink ignition on the Viper might be to a constant?

The 24 pin WHITE/ blue is not connected to anything. also the 10 pin pink is connected to db/lg on the ignition harness. i followed the instructions from another write up on this forum. Wiring: 24 pin harness: (Pin 4 BLACK / YELLOW) (200ma dome light) I did not hook this up, the dome light comes on as soon as you disarm do to the locks unlocking. (Pin 5 Dark Blue) (200ma status out) idatalink has data mode so does not need to be connected. (Pin 13 BLACK/ White) (Neutral safety input) Connected to ground. (Pin 15 Green) (Door trigger in) Connected this to the BLACK / YELLOW and the BLACK/ Pink on the BCM, using diodes. I did not connect to the rear doors because I have a crew cab and the front doors have to open before the rear doors, if you have a super crew cab with separate rear doors you will need to hook those wires up as well. I used the diode wiring diagram from Bulldog Security http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/diagr...0ISOLATION.pdf (Pin 16 BROWN / Black) BCM dk/blue plug ( pin 20 Brown) (brake Shutdown input) connected to green on brake. 10 Pin harness: (Pin 2 RED / Black) hooked this to the GREEN/ YELLOW on the BCM. (Pin 5 Red) (30 Amp fused 12V ign 1 in) hooked this to the GREEN/ YELLOW on the BCM. (Pin 6 Green) (Starter in key side of starter kill)Connected this to the RED / Light Blue wire on the ignition harness. (Pin 7 Violet) (Starter out car side of starter kill) Connected this to the RED / Light Blue wire on the ignition harness. (Pin 8 Orange) (Accessory out) Connected to the BLACK/ Light Green on the ignition harness. (Pin 10 Pink) (Ign 1 in/out) Connected to the Dark Blue/Light Green on the ignition harness. Door Lock Harness: (Pin 1 Blue) (500ma unlock output) Connected to Pink/Light Green on the BCM. (Pin 3 Green) (500ma lock output) Connected to Pink / YELLOW on the BCM. Main Harness: (Pin 1 Red) (Constant 12V Positive) hooked this to the TN/WH on the BCM. (Pin 2 Black) (Constant 12V Negative) hooked this to the BK on the BCM. (Pin 3 Brown) (Siren out) Connected this to the sirens red wire and connected the sirens black wire to a ground under the hood. (Pin 5 White) (Parking light out) Connected this to the brown wire on the BCM.

Have you tried to apply 12 volts (+) to the Brake Shutdown wire independent of the brake switch wire to see if it will shut down? Otherwise the wire connection look good to me.When all else fails, Read the Instructions

Yes i did try to connect a 12v constant to brake to see if it would shut down but it did same thing "Remote start deactivated" but still keeps running.

sounds like the unit is defective. only thing i can think of. Did you check the continuity of that wire up to the connector, might be broken When all else fails, Read the Instructions

Yes check that brown wire from brake at the 24 pin plug, see if you have 12 volts AT THE PLUG when you press footbrake with ignition on.

He says the fob indicates "remote start deactivated" so it is receiving the brake input. It seems the unit is not shutting off the power on the pink IGN output. Try a remote start. But IMMEDIATELY push the brake as soon as you see the dash lights come on. Does it shut down? (dash lights go off). I'm curious how the datalink is wired. You said you didn't use the dk blu Status Output. So what did you connect the bypass GWR input to? The blu/wht on the idatalink should go to the blu Status Output on the Viper. Do any of the other shutdowns work? Like the hood? Or Neutral Safety (disconnect while running, it should shut down)?

OK i double checked and yes there is 12volts at the brown wire when i press on the brakes.
