Tach wire Location

I have a 97 astro van And i hooked up the tach wire to the recommended wire and nothing. What is the right color and location of the tach wire

97 Astro Van has a White wire at the coil. Most GM vehicle has the White wire at the Coil.
TACH SENSOR WHITE @ COIL
Does your alarm/starter need to program the tach wire on it? Most alarm/starter required to program it to the alarm/starter when you connected it to the alarm brain.
