I was wondering if the new 01 civics have the transponder or a vats system for the remote start. The wiring diagram software we have is out dated and the new has not shown up yet. I in the midwest were all i usually work on is chev ford and dodge. Any information with this would be helpful thanks.

The vss is in a connector A (31 pins), pin 18. The vss is also blue/white at the cruise control module to the left of the steering column.
hope this helps, be sure to check all this colors with a multi-meter

Vaderfop is there any way a hobbiest like myself could get my hands on the latest techsoft by DEI program? I have a version that only goes to 99. It was given to me by a local installer years ago. I have searched the net extensively and have only found Designtech's program and I bought there book years ago and found the DEI is more accurate with wire colors.
Thanks in advance, Crich21
