will have a plain jane 1995 Eagle Talon 5 spd in the shop next week, and am looking for hints on what to look for in the car. Any quick thoughts on easiest way to bypass the clutch? Wire color/location of the park brake wire? best tach on this car (injector or coil or ?).

Haven't seen one of these in a while, and the sheets only tell so much. If someone could post up their sheet for this car too, that would be great! thks.

Brake light Grn at switch, tach white at coil pack, to bypass clutch look behind clutch assembly for a switch, test the wires to see which has to be hot to start car.

thanks...my autosoft wiring diagram says the same. am mostly looking to confirm the clutch switch bypass....my sheet shows GREEN/ black at the switch, but polarity is unknown. Can anyone confirm the style of the system? been a while since I tackled a standard...

I remember most systems having a pair of wires, and as long as there was continuity between the two (with a relay and groundout triggering it), it worked. But if there's an easier way, I'm all ears!!

You have it right, just connect the two wire at the switch with a relay activated off of a second/third igition output.

now just looking for direct info related to the clutch switch bypass on a 95 Eagle Talon. My autosoft sheet says that the wire is GREEN/ black at the swtich, but N/A for the polarity. Also in the notes field it says that the blue wire at the switch must be interrupted.

I've done a bunch of standards before, and never came across having to interrupt a wire.... ?? any thoughts? It looks like 90 to 95 has the same wiring...

anybody who's done a manual trans talon lately...can u remember how you bypassed the clutch switch?? any help is appreciated. I just want to have a heads up before I get into it and have to spend 2 hrs diagnosing a freakin switch!!

hi if i remeber correctly i did a rs in one and had to interupt both wires try unhooking switch and see if it starts without clutch pressed. That on threw me when i came across it.how did the program i sent you work out did it come through fine

I remember doing a Mitsubishi car (Eclipse I think) before where I had to interupt the wire at the clutch switch. Eagle is probably the same.

hi i just checked the wiring on mitchell on demand and the wire goes frome ground to the starter relay it should be black in to switch and green and black to the starter relay

ck auto...the prog came through just fine (thks bud!!) now I'm a bit confused....I haven't seen the car yet. so if there's two wires on the switch (per mitchells), one black and one grn/blk, would I not just use a relay to connect the two during crank? seems like a straight forward clutch switch to me....

I'm really curious about having to "interrupt" a wire, and if so, how did you guys go about it (its a new one on me)

hi the one i did i needed to interupt both wires for some reason it was kinda weird if i remember it was a older dodge colt. when you diconnected switch car would start without pressing clutch but if you used relay to break one wire only it wouldn't start when you used two relay then it was a go. the way mitchell looks you would just complete ciurcuit using a relay on the talon.wish i could email you schematic but scanner not working
