I have installed a remote start in a car that had a 2nd ignition. So I just took the 2nd ignition wire and connected it to the one on the car and it worked. Now I am putting in the same alarm in a different car,(sidewinder 6500) and as I was reading through the directions it said for the 2nd ignition you need a relay. So do you really need one or not? My other car worked fine.

On DEI units I believe only the 3rd ignition requires a relay. 1st and 2nd ignition do not require relays.
