Hi,
I'm installing a Micro Alarm DLKEK8HN in my 1995 Chev Lumina and I'm almost there but;
1)The remote will lock the doors but not unlock them. I have the blu/blk wire from the alarm harness tapped into the white door unlock wire and the grn/black wire from the alarm harness tapped into the light blu door lock wire, both at the driver kick panel.
2)The door trigger won't trigger the alarm. The car has a Neg trigger door,(12 volts when door is closed). I have the Green wire from the alarm harness tapped into the Drk blu wire at the driver kick panel.
I removed the harness connectors from the alarm and put a meter on the connector pins. The outputs from the harness connector to the alarm seem to be ok for the doors; 12 volt pulse when I push the door switch to the lock position and 12 volt when I push the door switch to the unlock position otherwise they float. . The outputs from the harness connector to the alarm seem to be ok for the door trigger also; 12 volts when the door is closed and Gnd when the door is opened.
I'm suspecting something is wrong with the brain. Any Ideas??

  • BLUE/BLACK -----WHITE on Lumina
  • GREEN/ BLACK-----LIGHT BLUE on Lumina
  • RED / BLACK & PURPLE / BLACK on alarm go to 12 volts constant
  • WHITE/ BLACK & BROWN / BLACK are NOT USED

2)The door trigger won't trigger the alarm. The car has a Neg trigger door,(12 volts when door is closed). I have the Green wire from the alarm harness tapped into the Drk blu wire at the driver kick panel.

  • It's not a DARK BLUE wire.... it's a BLUE wire at the driver's kick panel or the head light switch

I removed the harness connectors from the alarm and put a meter on the connector pins. The outputs from the harness connector to the alarm seem to be ok for the doors; 12 volt pulse when I push the door switch to the lock position and 12 volt when I push the door switch to the unlock position otherwise they float. . Yep,  That's how I have it wired.  Must be the brain. Thanx.
