is the wiring in a 2002 sl1 the same as an sl2? i did one this weekend and a few days later it popped a check engine light on. i reviewed the wiring for an sl2 (it was an sl1) and it appears that i did everything correctly. i do not remember if i used a relay to power the keysense wire or not, i might have jsut used the ground when running... hmmm maybe i stumbled onto the solution already. if that isnt it do you have any other ideas.

SATURN, S-SERIES, 2002, Keysense
The lt. green key sense wire at the steering column must see a ground during remote start to keep the SERVICE light from coming on.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.2002 saturn sl1/sl2 wiring -- posted image.

Just remmbered. I did a audiovox 996a. Used the dedicated port for my bypass trigger and power which left the neg 300ma 3rd ignition available. I fugured that it would be no problem to power up the keysense with it. I do know that when I shipped the car the chime was going off when remote starting with door open. Maybe the output blew? That is why the service engine lt came on? Any other help? I love this place
