Hey guys,

I just installed a 564T into my manual 03 Protege5.  When I first put the battery into the remote afer everything was installed the siren icon (meaning full trigger has occured was lit) and is still lit today.  Because of this, warn away response triggers do not work.  Is there any way to fix this?

I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I still have not connected my hatch/trunk trigger as i didn't have time to rip out the false floor in my hatch to get to the trigger wire.

thanks,

did you try popping the battery out and letting it sit for a sec, then putting the battery back in?

yup. . done that with the car batter and with the battery in the remote. .

its like the remote defualts with this icon on when it is first plugged in since i also put the battery back in on the remote first before putting hte car battery back up

if i remember correctly that icon stays lit to say it's in audible chirps mode and it has an x thru it when in silent arm mode....

Try to unplug the antena for 5 sec. and take the battery out of the two ways . then, put the battery first and later the antena.

i wish that were the case.  but it even shows pictures on dei's website showing that that icon is for a full trigger sequence and when the alarm is just locked the only icon you would see shoudl be the padlock and maybe the transmitting icon.

ill keep on trying other stuff, thanks

My remote has the siren with the a in it lit to show that the keypad is in audible mode. When I hit the aux then lock it will go in to silent mode (with the x through the siren) to notify that the remote sent the signal silently. That does not show that the alarm is in full triger mode. A door would be open on the lcd or the hammer would show if the sensor is triggered.

one of the guys working here has the same model and it's like stevent and i said...the siren has a small a in it  and is showing to denote "audible" mode and has an x thru it when unit is programmed to "silent arm" mode....

when the alarm is triggered you get the "hammer" icon showing....

a light tap should trigger warn away... a hard thump should trigger full alarm..... you may have to readjust the shock/impact sensor
