I have a code alarm ca425 and ca545 remote start system in a 1999 dodge ram 1500.I have it 99% installed thanks to the help from this site.I have just 1 more question,The wiring chart for this truck states that I need to add a relay on the yellow start wire.  I am not sure how I should do this, any help with wiring this relay would be great.

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1999&make=Dodge&model=Ram%20Pickup&ID=17656&type=Alarm

Thanks in advance

i have done a million of those types of dodges and never needed a relay before.  the only thing it may be talking about is for a bypass of your key is grey.

The wiring infomation given to you on your pervious post indicate that there is no second starter wire (Direct Wire Info.). You will not need to use a relay. Connecting the starter wire on the alarm unit to the starter wire of your truck will do.
Reading from your previous post. Looks like you put in a starter kill which is causing you all these problem.
Remove the starter kill relay!
Connect the yellow starter wire back at the steering column. Now, connect the starter wire from your code alarm on the yellow wire of your truck.
If you want to connect the starter kill you have to cut it where the start wire it's going into the engine or else you get nothing but trouble. I hope that info.is useful to you.

I am not having a problem with this rs ,it works great,I am trying to prevent a future problem.A mopar mechanic told me to be careful with the rs ,he heard that there was transmission problems caused by them.He did not know any specifics.I researched online and found info about the problem that I put in a previous post. When I started gathering the info for the install the wiring chart that was listed on this site did not call for a relay ,about a week later there was a new one calling for a relay.

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/detail.asp?info=alarm&year=1999&make=Dodge&model=Ram%20Pickup&ID=17656&type=Alarm

I thought it would not hurt to put the relay in there to prevent any problems in the future. If you would not mind posting wiring for it.

Thanks for the input

No relays require for your truck. What the machanic was refering to were GM product. This is what you get when the infomation is not pass on correctly to the end user.
He refers to this!
GMC, YUKON, 2004, Second Ignition
To avoid the check engine light from coming on and possible damage to the automatic transmission, the second ignition in this vehicle MUST be powered when adding a remote start system.
