Im going to be installing power door locks and a comando keyless entry in my 2002 cavalier on monday. I know how to do the power locks but Im not positive on the keyless entry. Do I need to hook up the door trigers and outputs to flash the lights. I think the instructions might be for both a keyless entry and an alarm. It also says to use the dome light output. Since I dont have a domelight what would I need to do about that.

I got my door locks in and am having problems. I have 5 wire actuaters in the front that should unlock all the doors. I havent been able to get any of the actuators to work. I tested for power at the fuse and there is 12 volts. What could be my problem.

When you tag the LIGHT BLUE wire and WHITE wire, cut in half. The motor side of the cut wire should register 12 volts when you press the lock/unlock respectively. Attach 30 to this wire and 87a to the other side of the cut wire.

I feel stupid. I forgot to plug in the control module for the door locks. I got the door locks figured out its just the keyless entry I need to get done now. Im working on getting the door lock outputs connected. From the door lock harness I have a white and a brown trigger wire. The instructions dont say if its + or -. From the keyless entry I have 3 unlock outputs and 2 lock outputs. I dont know what I need to connect to get it working.

its a comando keyless entry system.
Ive got
unlock normally open
unlock normally closed
unlock output
lock normally open
lock normally closed
lock output
After looking at the diagram closer Im thinking that the outputs of the locks would go to the outputs on the keyless module. Am I correct

on your keyless brain....  those wires are pins of a standard relay wich are built in to the brain

N.O. is pin 87

N.C. is pin 87a

lock and unlock are pin 30

pins 86 and 85 are controlled inside the brain. Look at the diagram and follow the pin locatins to your wires !
