Found this site, it looks like tere are locks specially for cable type system, waht are different about them, all i see is a bracket, but any one use these.

Your correct the only difference is the extra bracket they give you. You use that bracket to keep a small section of the cable straight so that you can remove the cable covering and attach a normal style rod to it. I wouldn't advise removing the covering from the OEM cable I haven't seen a vehicle with cable locks yet that this would be necessary.

that what i though, and i have not came across a car yet that i could not install a lock, but then again, a lot a cas that i have not doen thoght.
