does anyone know how i would be able to program a viper 791xv car alarm.  I have  a problem with my tac wire, or atleast one shop told me and they said it needs to be programmed to fix the problem.  The car turns over a few times but dosnt start, it just stops everything and goes silent, while holding the key it starts up again and runs.

press and hold the valet push switch within 5 seconds of starting the car with the key... the LED will come on solid to confirm tach learned

LOL well this is the thing i got the 791xv installed right w/o remote start"manual" and when they hooked up the ign section of it, the car didnt want to start up right away.  It would turn over a couple times then the starter would turn of and the car wouldnt run, while holding the key in the same possition"run" it would kick back on and start up finaly.  I talked to a shop over in my area"another shop" and they said that it was prob my tach needing to be programmed.  But i don't have remote start hooked up so why would i need that??

Im not sure what it could be cause the only times it happend was after i got off work it wouldnt start up right away.  It did the whole thing i was talking about.  But after i drove it around for about 20 min and turned it off and tried again.  I wouldn't have a problem.  Maybe a sticky relay what do you think??
