I installed a Crimestopper 2011combo unit today, when I was done I noticed everytime I pushed the brake pedal a cliking sound happened. It only does it with the key on,I looked under the dash and found a torpedo shaped cylinder mounted on the right side of the steering column that is extending everytime I hit the brake pedal,It has a GREEN/ wht wire(hot with ign)and a black wire(always grounded). When I hit the brake pedal the GREEN/ wht wire loses power.Any help would be appreciated!

Are you sure the noise you hear is NOT the Release for the Shifter??

I'm not sure what this selonoid does,it has a small cable coming out of the front and goes up somewhere in the dash.It might be a release for the shifter,I left it un-plugged because it was heating up,the car will shift with it un-plugged.Do you know the proper operation of this thing?
