First of all this site is great. I was lucky enough to find it while searching for my problem. I am sure with all the knowledge here someone can help me out. I purchased a SS silverado a few weeks ago that has a viper 591xv installed in it. I never got the remote for the truck so I purchased a new 479V remote. When I went to program it, the procedure would not work. I then began to check out the wiring. The button I thought was the valet button is actually the park neutral saftey switch. Where the valet and led light shoud be plugged into the control unit there is nothing there. Is it possible that the alarm was programmed with the bitwriter and the never connected the valet/led? Everything else is wired in. Where should I go from here? Thanks for the help.

take it to a directed dealer and see if they'll learn it for you or ask if they have any spare led's and programming switches they feel generous enough to give you or sell you cheap.... we take them out after we learn tach so customers cant reprogram features accidentally.... i have probably 300 in a box in the back of our shop.... i'm sure most DEI dealers are the same.....
