I had a Avital 2300 alarm put on my car a couple of years ago and i lost the remotes.  Well i ordered some new ones off of ebay and i am trying to program them to my alarm.  I was curious if anyone had these instructions or could tell me how to do it.  I have searched it online and had no luck.  Thanks.

Open door
Turn ignition on
Press the Valet button 8 times. Press it once more, but this time hold it.
You should hear 8 chirps.
Press any button on the transmitter (press it atleast twice)

I tried pressing the valet button 8 times then on the 9th holding it but it doesn't chirp at all.  Any suggestions?  I unplugged the unit and when i plug it back in it starts chirping and the alarm starts sounding. Then i press the valet switch and it cuts the alarm off.  But still I tried to press it 8 times and on the 9th nothing.

Thanks for the help man.  I found out that my pin switch on the driver door was messed up therefore the alarm wasn't reading that the door was opened.  But now that i have fixed that, the transmiter programs to the alarm but in the install manual it says that channel one works the arm/disarm/panic feature.  Well when i program it, the arm button works all 3 options.  You press the arm button once and it arms, press it again and it disarms, hold it in and it goes in panic mode.  What have i done wrong?  Thanks for the help so far.
