I'm installing a EZ2500 and power door locks on my  1999 S-10. I can't seem to program the remote start function. Also, I installed power door locks too. Can I hookthem up to the EZ200 or do I use the module that came with the power lock kit? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I / we, might need a bit more info on your remote start. can you post a diagram of it? Any web site I found with product info had no install diagrams!

Sorry it took a while to respond. I found a place online where you can download the install manual. Ther is a link on the right side. I went through the programming again last night and can program the alarm side, but not the remote start part 1. I also installed the power door lock kit if anyone knows how I hook it up with the EZ 2500.

For your door locks, wire up 2 relays for posative output via negative trigger

commando ez2500 -- posted image.

What bypass did you use.    The H5-2 is the ground while running output. The manual is written ALMOST as confusing for a rookie, as the DEI...(status output) what rookie knows what that is......anyhow. Your truck is equiped with passlock 2 The ground while running "triggers" the bypass for ya.

What problem EXACTLY are you haveing with the remote start?

I am using a BYPASSKIT( www.bypasskit.com), part # GMBP, for Passkey2 & 3. I think I will try connecting the brown wire from the bypass to the H5-2 wire you mentioned. When I get to Start Feature1 programming I turn the ignition switch on and off 3 times leaving it off, push the valet switch 6 times and nothing happens. I will try it again after making the change with the H5-2 wire. After we get this figured out I may have a question for you regarding the power lock kit.

After a lot of research I found that I was using the pre 2004 manual and needed the after 2004. The programing is differant. Now it starts but shuts off right away. Sounds like the bypass. Any ideas.
