bad shock sensor

Hey everyone, I have another post about my 03 Dodge Ram I just installed a scyTek Galaxy 5000RS alarm. Everything was working fine for the first 2 days after I installed the alarm. Then I replaced my factory head unit with an aftermarket one. Since then the alarm goes off at random for seemingly no reason. I do not have any built-in security with the factory head unit so I'm not sure why changing that would have caused the problem. I suspected it could be a faulty shock sensor. I decreased the sensitivity but it keeps going off even with the sensitivity set to mid. I turned the sensitivity all the way down and that seems to have fixed the problem but obviously that is no real fix. I'm just curious how likely it is that the shock sensor would be faulty or if something else is causing the problem. Could the new head unit be causing the problem?

Is the remote reporting that it was an impact that set off the system? Did you have to interface with any of the alarm wiring to install your radio? Did you have to relocate the shock sensor due to the radio installation? Did you mount your shock sensor to a solid piece of the chassis away from other electronics or to a harness? This is from the installation manual of your unit: "Mounting the Shock Sensor Choose a suitable interior mounting location for the shock sensor that provides ample coverage of the vehicle. Keep the sensor away from the vehicle’s ECM or other sources of electrical interference. Suggested mounting locations include air conditioning ducts, dashboard braces, or center console supports. During proper operation, the shock sensor will detect impacts to the vehicle only and will not usually be triggered by slow rocking movements of the vehicle like those caused by wind."Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

The shock sensor is mounted to the dash brace. I did not move it since the initial installation so I'm not sure why all of a sudden it would start giving me problems. The stereo is connected to the factory harness so I'm not sure how or why it would be causing any interference to the alarm.
