I hope all is well in St. T. I may have trouble getting home from work tomorrow, it may be a wet ride, The entire newscast has been about the storm. However the Gulf Buoy Data and the precipitation radar do not reflect anything near about as bad as they are saying. Schools closed Tuesday and Wednesday. And it is not a Hurricane yet. It is predicted to be a Cat 1 when it hits land.

This is true. I think I can make it home dry today. This town is freaking out. There are no gas cans, and no gas at many stations.

If I have to be on the bad side of a storm, this is the one I would choose.

Thanks Howie, I do not know about being on the wrong side, but it seems like we are both on the LONG side of it.

I do remember the one and only (so far) we had in the UK, either 85 or 87 and the "thing" in bed beside me wondering why my car alarm hadn't gone off? I said "don't worry, it's probably in the next county by now".

We did just fine here. Got a LOT of rain, rivers are swollen. The bridge at the end of my road was underwater last night. It is now passable but still closed off. I have never seen it underwater before. It usually gets close to the bridge a day after a storm. Even if it swells more, I am fine. Electricity off in a Lot Of Baton Rouge. My store had no electricity. Alarm battery was still good when I went this morning. My Dad is in Pearl River and he just got his power back on. Going to buy fuses for his Air Conditioner. He has dead batteries in his meters. He is hoping that the fuses are blown.
