Looking for any help. Have a 99 dodge ram with infinity system which also has the steering wheel volume controls. There are 3 harnesses plugging into the back of the OEM radio. Only see harness retrofit kits with two plugs. Have purchased and installed 2 plug harness kit(correctly) but cannot get sound to any speaker. Do I need to jumper this 3rd plug 2 wire harness (into the existing 2 plugs and if so help) please. Any response is appreciated in advance. Thanks Jerry.

The two wire plug ( white molex ) is the steering wheel control plug for the OEM player. You will need to also hook up the grounding strap to a ground to complete the circuit in order for the system to work. Try this and post your results.

Thanks much for the reply back, Have quad checked all connections (including separate ground). Must have a bad new unit. (kenwood kdc-x817). Have hit reset button, have turned on speakers via system q settings to oem, checked fader, and balance, volume to 50% and gone through all troubleshooting guidelines in back of manual. All functions appear to work but cannot get sound out to any of oem speakers. Thanks again for your response.
