Probably this is way below the level of this group but I would appreciate some charity.

I bought a Commando KE-30 and 3 Relays to make my 1993 Cutlass Supreme keyless (obviously). They are telling me to pry off my door panel to access the wiring for my relays (the 3rd is for the trunk) but I wonder why I can't just tap into the trigger wiring under my dash board where less damage is likely to occur. Also, I wonder why I can't use the 200 ma lock/unlock outputs hard wired onto the KE-30 receiver and bypass the relays all together. Is the voltage insufficient?

Thanks and I really enjoyed reading through this forum. You guys are all great.

You'll need to wire up a couple of relays to do the locks thgough.

And one for the trunk pop.   All of the outputs from your KE30 are negative, you need to convert em to +Pos.

For all 3 relays

pin87 and 86 gets 12volts fused

pin 85 gets your trigger wires from the KE30

pin 30 becomes your posative(+) out put to trigger your locks and trunk pop
