Hello All,

Have an OMEGA RS-7K2 Remote Started Keyless Entry im tryiong to install. I have 1993 Chevy Truck automatic and they said I needed secong ignition relay and i have it but cant figure out how to hook up the extra relay. I also havent hooked into second ignition wire cause im not sure what to hook to it.

OMEGA has not returned emails. The module is not starting or locking/unlocking doors. Valet switch is flashing the parking lights though. Anyone else have similar problems? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hey ,Fred,
I'm not totally sure about this and I'm not at all familiar with OMEGA systems. I belive that you can take the relay and use the ignition wire from the OMEGA system as a trigger for the second ignition. The wire (if present)should be white and should be located in the ignition harness. As far as starting goes, does the system need to be tach learned? Is the door lock system compatible with that of your chevy, i.e. is it a 5 wire, negative trigger, or positive trigger? Hope this helps.

Thanks for the Reply Mr. Donedeal,

I think, but not totally sure, that I have solved the second ignition relay problem. I read the book several times last night and finally figured out what it was saying. I think I left off a wire from that second relay. I'll try it today but I woke up to a snow filled morning here in Oklahoma.

As for the locks they are Reversal Rest at ground system. I have the color codes for both the truck and the system and there could be a possiblity I have them backwards. But I dont think so.

I had to purchase the extra relays for the locks and and extra relay for the second ignition. and i think I just neglected to hook up the second ignition relay correctly. But would that keep the locks from working.

Any advice would help, if the seconf ignition doesn't do the trick.

Thanks Again

Fred,
If the doorlocks are reverse polarity, then you are going to have to have two relays (one for lock and one for unlock). You are also going to have to cut your door lock wires so that you basically have 4 wires (2 on the door lock switch side and 2 on the car side). If you need more information on how do it, let me know.
