Use the Rostra link on this site for VSS and tach info. They list all the wires and locations you need.

Is this located under the hood on the driver's side fender? If it is then mine has a black, gray, and white plug going to it. Which then is the VSS wire?. Also, can I get the tach wires and the rest of the connection points here ? Thanks any and all for your assistance!

The BCM (Body Control Module) is attached to the left of the fusebox.Connector 1 is a gray 26 pin plug, and connector 2 is a gray 22 pin plug. The wire is Light GREEN/ YELLOW found in connector 1 pin 20.

Hello all... anyone familiar with the installation of the Rostra Signal Adapter #250-4369 for my 2003 Jeep Liberty? It has some instructions for the Red, Green, Yellow, and Black wires, but, specifically the VSS In/Out. Do I still piggyback on the VSS wire or do I cut it, making the GREEN/ In connection and Yellow/Out connection? Thanks for any help.

Now I'm told that some "2003" Jeep Liberty's use 2002 wiring. Those don't need the250-4369 signal adapter (8,000 pulses on the VSS). If the "2003" model has the 2003 wiring in it,it has 72,000 ppm and DOES need a signal adapter. Rostra tech support not very helpful but mentions something about the number of plugs going to the ECM. The dist. I used to get the cruise says yes, Rostra says no. Any ideas??? Thanks.

Use the red (power) and black (ground), then your yellow and green are your VSS hookups.  I can't remember which is which, but what you are going to do is tap the input wire to your VSS wire from the vehicle, then the output to your Grey wire on the cruise (VSS input for the cruise).

On the Rostra system what exactly do the "GAIN"(Sensitivity), and "ENGINE/SET UP TIMER" settings reflect... what's the differences in the range when you go from extra low to extra high?
